As Vice President, Original Content, Christine Shipton oversees all development and commissioning of Canadian original programming for the Shaw Media 19 specialty channels and for Global Television.

A seasoned executive, Christine joined Shaw Media (then Canwest) in May 2005, coming from Blueprint Entertainment, a production company dedicated to producing and financing television productions for the North American and world markets.

She has held a variety of senior positions in both broadcast and production organizations, including head of programming for W Network, VP of Canadian Television for Landscape Entertainment Canada, Alliance Atlantis Television and Alliance Communications as EVP of Canadian Drama, as well as Production Executive and Casting Director for CBC Television.

Christine has been responsible as Creative Executive for developing, overseeing and managing some great Canadian programming throughout her career, including Rookie Blue (ABC/Global), Da Kink in My Hair, Deal or No Deal Canada, Due South, Ice Pilots NWT, Global Currents, Street Legal, North of 60, The Diana Kilmury Story, and most recently Canada Sings, The Firm (NBC/Global) and Bomb Girls.

As Vice President, Original Programming, Kids, Comedy, Drama, Jocelyn Hamilton is responsible for overseeing original programming from development to production in the genres of Kids, Comedy and Drama for Corus Entertainment’s specialty and pay networks, including Movie Central, HBO Canada, YTV, Treehouse, W Network, CosmoTV, OWN Canada and CMT.

An award-winning producer and broadcasting executive with over two decades of experience, Hamilton is a loyal supporter of the Canadian production industry, is a member of the President’s Council at Corus, and sits on the board of the Alliance for Children and Television.

In her previous roles at Corus as the Vice President, Programming for Corus’ kids networks and the Vice President, Production and Development for Nelvana Studio, Hamilton has extensive experience in producing hit shows that have sold in over 140 countries worldwide.

On YTV, hit Canadian series such as Mr. Young, Life With Boys, How To Be Indie, That’s So Weird, Kid vs Kat, League of Super Evil, Almost Naked Animals, Sidekick, Scaredy Squirrel, The Next Star, Survive This , Splatalot and In Real Life all premiered under Hamilton’s leadership. On Treehouse, top 10 series such as Max & Ruby, The Backyardigans, The Cat in the Hat, Mike the Knight, My Big Big Friend,  Are We There Yet?: World Adventure and Roll Play have continued to keep Treehouse the #1 network for preschoolers in Canada. On Movie Central and HBO Canada, breakthrough series like Call Me Fitz, Less than Kind, Good Dog and Pillars of the Earth along with all the best Canadian feature films have kept Original dramas & comedies central to our premium television offering. During her Nelvana Studio tenure, Hamilton lead a talented team of animation professionals who produced over four thousand episodes of quality children’s programming, including: Franklin, Ruby Gloom, Rolie Polie Olie, Little Bear, Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Friends, The Backyardigans, Handy Manny, Sidekick, Scaredy Squirrel and 6Teen to name a few.

Hamilton has also contributed to award wins from esteemed institutions such as the Geminis, Emmys®, The Canadian comedy awards, ACE, Parent’s Choice, Alliance for Children and Television, Les Sept D’or, Humanitas, Annecy International Animated Film Festival and Cartoons on the Bay (Pulnicella Award).

Corrie Coe is Senior Vice-President, Independent Production for Bell Media, Canada’s largest private broadcaster, where she oversees the company’s development and independent production team. With a cross-channel and company-wide focus, she is responsible for the overall development and execution of creative content for all genres from independent producers for Bell Media’s two conventional networks and for its comedy, drama, music, youth and entertainment specialty channels.

Corrie was formerly Vice-President, Business and Legal Affairs, CTVglobemedia, where she was responsible for the legal and business affairs on the independent Canadian programming commissioned by the CTV network and for CTV’s numerous specialty channels.

A member of Canada’s television production community for many years, Corrie previously worked for the Canadian Television Fund and the Ontario Film Development Corporation, and practiced entertainment, corporate commercial and intellectual property law at Smith, Lyons.

Corrie currently sits on the Board of Governors of the ACTRA Fraternal Benefit Society, and the Board of the Canadian Film Centre. Corrie formerly served as a Director on the Board of the Canadian Television Fund.
